Not only does this shelter not euthanize animals, but they also take in animals from other shelters &rescues across the country(that would otherwise be euthanised). Additionally, they are part of SAS (save a sato) and have rescued many,many dogs from Puerto Rico. I adopted one of my dogs last December from NEAS, and began volunteering there shorty after,I have nothing but respect and admiration for their staff.

They have been doing this for so long (ca. 1970s), it amazes me the have been able to stay open this long. I have adopted two cats from here once and I would be happy to do it again.
