Animal Rescue League of Western PA is an incredible resource that provides high-quality and very affordable veterinary services. They also run a fostering program to rehabilitate abused animals. At the rates they charge, I cannot imagine how they stay in business. I really hope they win the 10,000 so they can continue to serve needy animals.

I have gotten many pets from this shelter and everyone of them has been healthy, smart and everything you could want in a pet...the facility is well taken care of and the personnel are just wonderful!! I give a thumbs up for this shelter....I've also traveled out of our area and some of those shelters are cold, dirty and not very well organized....

We have adopted 2 dogs & 2 bunnies from ARL since March 2007. They took exellent care of all of them before we adopted. Wonderful place!!!!!!

I have 2 cats and an Australian Shepherd. All 3 are from the ARL. My dog was "found" when I was volunteering as a dog walker there. Good people who care about animals work there. They a city shelter that is very deserving of extra funding.

We got our dog Chancho there.....one of the GREATEST, most lovable dogs EVER....our family wouldn't be complete without him....

With all the wonderful things the Animal Rescue League of Western PA does for the unfortunate animals in our area. I do hope they can win the well deserved funds. They are dedicated to saving all of the abused and homeless animals and finding them happy homes.

I've adoted both a cat and dog from this agency and couldn't ask for better pets. They take in any animal and get the least attention of any agency or shelter in the area, for all the wonderful things they do.

I have rescued all of my pets from here since I was a little girl. It's not as fancy as some of the larger and better funded city shelters, and they are always desperate for help and money. So many volunteers work there to help in any way to keep things afloat. It's a passionate group and they won't turn any animal away. Thank goodness for ARL!
