I am very impressed with Animal Works' dedication to finding animals in need and placing them in excellent households. Animal Works has a very careful screening process in place, such that when we send an animal home, we know it's going to have a wonderful life. It's also very rewarding to know that our animals come not only from the streets and doorsteps of Knoxville, but also kill shelters in the area. I volunteer only a little of my time to Animal Works, but I'm constantly astounded by how much time and work other volunteers and staff put into this cause. It's truly inspiring.
The staff and volunteers at animal works are passionate about finding homes for all the animals that come through their doors. The pets are treated with love and compassion they may have never received otherwise. It is a no kill shelter with a vet on staff who will help people with any range income be able to afford to spay & neuter their animals. I teach at Union Grove Middle School and our Builders Club members volunteer at events for animal works. It has been a great learning experience for them. They are setting an example for others to care and respect all animals.
A very good facility that takes excellent care of the animals there. They are given lots of attention and taken out on walks in the park surrounding the facility. No kill, vet on staff, low cost spay and neuter, very clean. I have volunteered there and know this first hand. Please help Dr. Steve and the crew with volunteer time or a donation. Thanks !
Aninal Works is very clean and caring shelter. The :"NO KILL" Policy is the best. They keep the animals they take in until they find their forever home no matter how long that may take. When one animal is placed into their new home that allows Animal Works to take another animal from a high kill shelter and give them a chance at a new home too.
