AT CCHS ITS ALL ABOUT THE ANIMALS. THERE HUMANE SOCIETY IS DESIGNED AROUND THE ANIMALS WELL BEING, NOT THE DIRECTORS OFFICE. THEY DO SO MUCH FOR THE AT RISK ANIMALS. HELPING THE SICK AND INJURED IS WHAT THEY DO BEST.

I love CCHS because they are a wonderful no kill shelter who have helped so many pets in need. Their low cost spay and nueter program is outstanding also. It has helped many animals and their pets afford the procedure needed to keep more animals out of shelters.

There is simply no better shelter than Clark County Humane Society. It's staff advocates tirelessly on behalf of animals. Animals that, without CCHS, would have no voice. CCHS cares for every dog and cat that comes to it's door in need of shelter and care. They work hard to find only the best homes for the animals. And until that best home is found, the cats and dogs are comfortable and safe, and very well cared for. In addition to this most important work, they do so much more! CCHS runs a low-cost spay & neuter clinic on the premises. This is highly utilized and much appreciated service in our rural, economically depressed area. It is truly a gift from heaven that CCHS offers to the community, and it is one of many. CCHS staff was instrumental in this fall's passage of the State of Wisconsin law that will work to stop animal breeders known as puppy mills from practicing abuse and neglect in our state. CCHS's hard work on this issue will help compassionate individuals, humane groups, and lawmakers in other states become 'puppy mill-free'. Clark County Humane Society should win $10,000 for all of the above reasons, and because last year's necessary remodel/addition ended up costing so much more money than expected, as the existing tired building needed a new roof and septic. This has put our gem-of-a-shelter in *SERIOUS* debt. We just can't lose CCHS! CCHS works to raise funds year-long, year after year. Everyone in the area chips in as they can, but now they are in need of a little BIG money, for once! CCHS is very deserving, so help them out so they can continue to help the animals!

They are a no kill shelter. They offer spaying/neutering services for a resonable price. My last kitty was from there and was one of the most wonderful animals to share my life. Chuck and all the volunteers make this shelter an outstanding place. Keep up the good work.

The terrific folks at CCHS really do care about the animals and the people who love them. They have been SO ACTIVE in the fight against Wisconsin Puppy Mills! All of us who love animals are fortunate to have the energetic, enthusiastic people at CCHS working so hard every day on behalf of the animals who add SO MUCH to our lives!

Chuck and Cheri are the hardest working, most compassionate, patient, intelligent people on earth. They have devoted their lives to helping animals who have no voice. They are truly angels on earth. It would be wonderful to have their good karma came back to them - and their mission.

Not only is this a no-kill shelter, but the folks running it are incredibly devoted and maintain a GREAT atmosphere. I've never known anyone as dedicated and kind and selfless as they are. Day after day they lovingly care for each and every animal. They've spearheaded Kitty City which is a place I regularly visit to play with the many cats who are free to run and play; they've managed to get a new addition/facility which was no easy chore financially or emotionally; they're activists for stopping the Puppy Mill operations and for most anything related to the well-being of not only the animals they currently have, but for others out there who face any type of abuse; and they're known to personally take in and nurse sick kittens/puppies back to health and then, if they just don't make it, lovingly bury the little angels on their own property. Clark County Humane Society just a wonderful facility, but being in a county that has a low population, they truly need funding assistance to keep up the first rate care they provide which includes neutering/spading and microchipping of all cats and dogs brought in, as well as to help with the debt from the addition. This shelter has earned and DESERVES any financial help possible. I want to say that even though I live in a neighboring county, I wouldn't go anywhere other than Clark County Humane Society, and I highly recommend it to so many people.

I think it is really great that it is a no kill shelter. My father worked over 25 years for a rendering company located in the southern part of the state. Part of his job was to pick up the animals that were gassed at the animal shelter in Milwaukee. He picked up the animals every day of the year, even holidays. What a lot of animals were put down. CCHS does a wonderful job of finding homes for the animals.

The Clark Co. Humane Society is one of the best in the state of WI and one of the easiest to work with. It was a joy to have adopted our little dog 18 months ago from them. The staff and volunteers to great work.

It is the place where I found the rescued dog, Lucy, I adopted. I observed how respectfully and lovingly the animals were being care for. It is clean, well-organized, feels welcoming, and is staffed by volunteers.

I have been to this humane society and many other area humane societies a bunch of times. This one is by far the cleanest and has the nicest staff. You can tell that the people that work and volunteer there truly have a love for animals. :-) I have always been impressed when I go there!!

CCHS is getting to the root of the overcrowding in shelters. The Fix-A-Pet program is helping to cut down on unwanted litters. Way to go CCHS for thinking outside the box.
