I really appreciate Lisa's weekly adoption report, which shows how much the shelter staff care about the dogs & cats! (Interested folks can contact Lisa at LField@co.lincoln.or.us and ask to be added to her email list.)

The shelter staff has worked really hard to maintain the shelter with the ongoing threat of not enough funds to stay open but they still have done an amazing job! They have a wonderful group of people with a natural ability to match the right people with the right animals. Thru all the trials and tribulations in the last five months of not knowing what would happen, they still uphold their passion and positive attitude for the care of the shelter animals...I have nothing but Praise for them! Cheers to the LCAS, they are amazing!

Our shelter is the only safe place where the animals of an entire county can be cared for until they find their forever homes. The staff, voluteers and community have fought to keep the shelter open in these tough economic times. We are clearly a community of people who love and care about the well being of God's wonderful creatures.

They are a no kill shelter who has just been voted a 5 year reprieve from being shut down for lack of funds. There are many people who just dump animals in the woods out here on the Oregon coast and this is the only shelter to care for all the homeless animals in this area. They do a great job caring and protecting all the animals they can possibly fit here and need all the help and support they can get. The government has also slashed the number of workers to three and will not accept volunteers.

It is the only place in Lincoln County where cats, dogs and sometimes other helpless creatures find a safe heaven where they are treated with love and respect while waiting for their new families.

We just adopted our kitty from LCAS after 2 weeks of my boyfriend bonding with her while he was doing electrical work for the shelter. Our kitty came in with a broken arm and the first time I went in to meet her she couldn't even set it on the ground. She had it curled up by her side and they weren't sure if she would regain use of it. After a surgery and a week later she had shown great improvement, the staff allowed "Little Wing" to explore freely behind their desk under a watchful eye. They all care so much about each animal and I appreciate their kindness. We have had our kitten at home now for almost a week and one of the staff members has been inquiring from her good friend, and my nursing instructor, about how "Little Wing" is doing. Their care is ongoing even after their friends have been adopted and it's really apparent when you go visit this shelter. Thank you Lincoln County Animal Shelter for giving so much love to all of these homeless pets!

This is the shelter where I adopted my beloved Princess, she had been there 5 months while they tried to find her a home. She dried my tears and healed my heart. This shelter takes great care of their pets.

Its the tops. I got my beautiful tortie cat there 4 years ago. We are both very happy here and happy with our shelter. The people of Newport Oregon and Lincoln County think so too. In our last election we passed a bill to fund the shelter for another 5 years.

The staff uses very creative ways to treat their "guests" as kings & queens, find homes for them, & use taxpayer dollars efficiently.
