America's Favorite Animal Shelter Contest

I adopted a beautiful brown terrier pup with a mustache and beard from the New Orleans SPCA back in 1997. He was light brown and I named him Guiness after the foam on the beer. I was allergic to dogs as a kid so this was my first dog when I was 36 y.o. I eventually had to move to Houston for a job and had to give him up for adoption but he got a great home. He was a fun companion and very well-behaved. the LA SPCA is a great place serving our animal friends. They need our support!

The staff at the shelter have done such amazing things in the community. You know they truly care for each and every animal that comes through those doors. Each animal has their own story and they try to listen. I am so thankful for the LASPCA!!!

I love the LASPCA because they provide excellent services with affordable costs in a very professional environment. The staff is extemely courteous and knowlegeable. The new facility that was built after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans is very impressive. It is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and totally adequate for servicing the needs of my pets. I feel like I am in my own doctor's office when visiting there.
