I love the ark shelter! when I adopted my cat from the ark they were friendly and welcoming. They are a no kill shelter which I love. You can tell they really care for there animals.

The huge amount of work involved in keeping this great no-kill shelter going is mind-boggling, and with very few people, and even less money. Everyone is incredibly dedicated, talented and kind.

the Ark is a no kill shelter which I love, and when I had a cat that unfortunately I could not take care of any more, the Ark took her for me, and it is the only shelter I trusted to do so

I adopted two of my cats from the Ark. They are senior cats and the Ark works hard to adopt out the older animals. All the animals are treated with love and respect -- their accommodations are as home-like as possible. They have a dedicated crew including volunteers work tirelessly to make sure that the Ark remains a haven for animals that otherwise would be euthanized or left to fend for themselves.

Lorna and her dedicated crew go above and beyond for the animals. They work tirelessly to find the right homes for the pets there, spend endless hours socializing especially the cats, and ensure they go to the right homes for their personality. Since they are a no-kill shelter, they wait as long as it takes for the right human to come and be adopted by their animals! They do amazing work for the small amount of funds they have to work with, which is quite remarkable in this economy.
