Got my 2 dogs from this rescue! They do great work!

Their first concern is always, always, always their furry friends. They work tirelessly -- these days with ever more limited budget -- as more and more people are forced to give up their animal companions due to economic downturns. I believe they are entirely donation-funded. The shelter has several popular community-based fund-raisers through the year, and they do a good job with public awareness and education in general, and specifically about the breed. I found out about them through a relative and I do not live anywhere close; still, I receive their regular emails and they are absolutely my favorite shelter, just because their Huskies are their primary concern and it is obvious they take the responsibility seriously and treat the animals with love. If I lived in the vicinity, they would definitely have another volunteer. I try to donate when I can, but $10,000 would take care of their food and heating bills for the entire winter.
