Because Maureen is such a wonderful person and takes in kitties no one else will take

Because they take in sick kitties that no else will take and they spend lots of time and money nursing them back to health. Also they are a no kill shelter

I would encourage ANYONE in the tri county area to adopt from Maureen; she knows about her pets, she is an awesome advocate , and her rates are fantastic. I adopted my sweet 6 yr old male Russian Blue from her - I love him so . I am hoping that she will consider doing a non profit Avon fundraiser with me, since she spends so much of her own income taking care of the animals she has and the new ones she brings in.

This shelter takes in the weak, sick, old, blind, birds - dog - and many many blessed cats. As long as there is space.. these abandoned animals are loved and cared for. If I couldn't care for my boys, I'd want Maureen and Catnip Cottage to find them a new safe - loving home.

As well as young and healthy kitties, they will rescue those kitties that other shelters won't take, due to age, health or behavior problems. This is a last chance home for many difficult to place kitties. Maureen and her assistants are truly kind hearted people to save these precious animals.

Maureen is such a caring individual. She loves each and every animal that comes in.

Maureen & everyone involved have the biggest hearts of anyone I know! They do so much for all the animals in need. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more!

From the moment that any animal comes through the doors of the Catnip Cottage they know love and acceptance until they find their very own furever homes. It is a very special place(s) and Maureen is absolutely incredible.

The Catnip Cottage is a no-kill shelter that relies on foster homes. They are therefore able to help more cats than they would in a conventional shelter setting. It is run by a very nice, very kind person who has helped us every time we have asked. It's a wonderful place that is all about the animals.
