Raeanna, the head Cat and founder, goes beyond anything I have seen to save a cat. Just for example, one morning last month she spent from 12 midnight to 3 A.M. under a broken down car to rescue a 4 week old kitten. She brought it back to health and he now is up for adoption. Each and every adoption is preceded by a home visit, the home is inspected to make sure it is a safe home, the people themselves are assessed and then the decision is made. If for any reason the adoption does not work out we take the cat back. We, the volunteers and "The Head Cat" make sure every cat and kitten is socialized before they are adopted to a forever home. That way we have less returned cats, which means less stress on the cats. There is a santuary where most of the cats reside and we work with PetSmart as a public adoption center. We also work with local businesses in the commuity to make them aware of our organization and how we help in the over population problem cats)( and how they can help as well. We work with a local vet, Dr. Lamb, who helps with the cost of vaccinations and care. All are cats are spayed or neutered, micochipped,, dewormed, with all vaccinations. The costs of food, medications, litter, toys and all the other things you need to bring up happy kitties is sky rocketing. We run on donations and they are becoming scarce. Some months the elecric person it at the door to turn it off when by the grace of God some wonderful person gives us a donation. The $15,000 would be gift from heaven but any little bit helps. There are thousand of us out there and none of us ever have enough money or volunteers. Thank you for your help we all appreciate. A Happy TLC Volunteer

The owner of this shelter is a very caring person. She personnally sees that the cats go to good homes. The people are screened very carefully and are followed up on when they adopt. She does everything in her power to see that the cats are well taken care of after they are adopted. They are not adopted until they are spayed or neutered with shots. This rescue group needs this money badly so they can continue to do the work that they do. She never turns away a cat!!
