Maritime Greyhound Adoption Program is a First Class group of volunteers. The Program cares unconditionally, for greyhounds and the families who adopt them. MGAP educates adopters on how to effectively train their new greyhound, using only positive methods. And by providing support, the group minimizes the "growing pains" of the new pet relationship. Two enthusiastic paws up for MGAP & retired racers!

The Maritime Greyhound Adoption Program salvages theses animals after a difficult journey of being used for profit and greed. These awesome dogs are exploited and sadly, some unloved. We know dogs are intelligent and loving creatures. Why not give to them what they never had, a life of love and companionship. These dogs gave to man, and you are able give to them what they always deserved… LOVE in return on behalf of the man that used them. Many of these Greyhounds have spent their entire life unloved and used. Sadly, in spite of that, they are discarded like garbage, abandoned and left to die. Whatever the reason these GREEDY unscrupulous soles, chooses to exploit these dogs... it remains to be exploitation and it is disgraceful. PLEASE, give to the Maritime Greyhound Adoption Program. By doing so, you would enable the program to do what is ‘our MORAL obligation’… Protect and rescue the beautiful creatures that are victims of a few self-indulgent humans roaming ‘OUR’ planet. Our shelter will accept dogs and cats all week and on weekends and even during Christmas. There were 4 ladies at last nights town meeting for a "dog barking bylaw" that our town wants to have and that really impressed me to know that they have a no kill policy with the shelter. The town here in Springhill wants to "dispose" of barking dogs and the people in this town are against certain issues that need well revised. Our shelter really is a generous commitee to come and spend 3 hours at a town meeting. WTG!!!!
