America's Favorite Animal Shelter Contest

HPR saves hundreds of lives every year from shelters around the country. We are a NO-Kill facility and ONLy kill if and when the quality of life of the animal is compromised, meaning if the animal has a terminal illness or extensive injuries beyond fixing. The animals in our rescue if not adopted remain with us for life. Most of the animals in our rescue are animals with special needs, although we have many normal pets too. We promote education to the public about spay-neuter and animal welfare for a better future to the animals. We are a small group but very productive and sucessful at saving lives.

Thank goodness for a wonderful organization! Every animal deserves to be loved!

During times of devistation, this organization is there for family pets.

I just found out about HPR, and I am very impressed with what everyone has to say about it. I have worked with my city for years in a TNR program that we no longer have money for, and have myself taken in and fed and rescued many cats and kittens, so I know what an overpopulation exists in Miami Beach and the surrounding cities due to the lack of people spaying and neutering their cats, and then allowing them to roam free or abandoning them when they move away. Someone has to step up and care for them. I congratulate this shelter for doing a wonderful job!
