I love Utah Friends of Basset Hounds because of all the wonderful things they do for abandoned hounds regardless of their condition at the time they get to UFBH rescue.

Not only is it obvious that they love each and every dog that comes through, but they put a lot of effort into making sure each dog goes to the right home. I have seen other rescues that will send any dog to any home - it doesn't always work out well. UFBH really go the extra mile to make sure that people and pups are happy forever after.

This is the only shelter that I know that truly cares for the animals that come in. Their attempts to find forever homes for the Bassets is amazing. I have to say that the love and support provided by UFBH for the many Bassets they have is proof that UFBH is the best in Utah!

They are always willing to take in any dog not matter what their circumstances. They are instantly loved, then they begin to find the best home for that dog based on its's need. They screen all prospective foster or adoptive families to make sure they are the right family for this dog. Basset hounds are the most loving and friendly dog anyone could ask for. My son & daughter-in-law fostered 3 dogs that eventually became a part of our family, they are the best dogs and we love them so much.

My friend Cory, fosters dogs for the Utah Friends of Basset Hounds and has really helped a lot of dogs find homes, and get medical care. I know that there are a lot of dogs that are getting great care.
