Our shelter is great for many reasons. Not only do we have wonderful volunteers and a fantastic medical team caring for our animals but we also do all we can to help others in the community care for their animals when they need help from us. We are a caring, loving, organization that thrives on helping all of the animals of Cabarrus County through adoption and through caring hearts.
We started 18 years ago out of a back yard.First to work hand in hand with Animal Control in the state.First to have a cage free Cat facility in the state.An all Volenteer workforce ,open for Adoptions 7 days a week.Raised funds for a low cost Spay/Neuter clinic in Concord.We are dedicated to our Animals .We are currently working to raise money for a shelter of our own "raising the roof project".right now we are in the Cabarrus County Animal Shelter with very limited space.We are also involved in the Prison Dog Program with the Mt Pleasant Correctional Facility.
Because my Beautiful Wife and I have a passion for helping homeless and/or neglected animals.
Humane Society of Concord is an awesome place. The Kids4Pets Club works so hard to make sure the animals have the social skills they need to finds a furever home. The kids even raised money so that one of the cats could have a treatment for a thyirod condition. Now it now longer needs daily medication.They think of all the animals there as their children. And it show!

I've read alot of things on Zoo Too last year. There are a few workers there that work extremely hard there and genuinely care about these pets. Besides, there are alot of animals in this area that need their help and more money. They are awesome!!
