I love Katie's Place because I was one of two people who started it. I love it because we are no kill. We are strictly volunteer run and we have been around for 11 years. I love Katie's Place because it started from nothing and has grown despite all the obstacles. I love Katie's Place because it is a piece of me.

Run by amazing volunteers, Katie's Place is a wonderful safe haven for all kitties who come through its doors, whether new forever homes can be found or if they live out the rest of their lives at Katie's Place.

Katie's Place is LOVE for all cats regardless of their appearance or story. The sick ones are given medication, special attention, and Vet. care. The volunteers are wonderful people who give up their time to care for and keep the cats clean and happy with lots of TLC. Some months there are as many adoptions to forever homes as new adoptees.This is a NO kill shelter and some of the cats live out their lives knowing someone cares. The cats don't suffer, when their time comes they see the Vet. The shelter runs on volunteers and donations from gerenous people who care as well. Check out the web site and see for yourself ! Katie's Place has been able to build a wonderful new shelter for cats in Maple Ridge, BC with the help of an amazing group of volunteers. Every cat they help is special to them and they do great work finding the right home for the cats in their care. They have a wonderful foster home system to support their work with kittens and also have purpose-built facilities for feral cats and FIV positive cats. Katie's Place is made up of fantastic volunteers who really love and care for animals. They ensure that every cat in their care has a good quality of life where they are safe and fed and warm and loved.

It's run purely on love by caring volunteers who give hundreds of hours to care for animals nobody else wants. It runs on a shoestring but the animals get everything they need.
