AWLA helped us find the perfect cat! The volunteers are fantastic and they take wonderful care of all the animals in their shelter.

I adopted a beagle from the shelter yesterday (11/18/09) and was very impressed with the whole operation. I appreciate the AWLA's approach to adoption. They work WITH the potential adopter to find a good match. Most of the shelters/rescue organizations I looked at were a bit over zealous in the protection of the adoptees. Most made me feel as though the rescue organization was "doing was doing me a favor" by allowing me to adopt.
