The folks at Southern Siberian Rescue are angels in human form. They help the helpless huskies that are given up by irresponsible dog owners, found in the streets or given to them by other people who have found them and just can't care for them the way SSR can. They provide assistance beyond their means to rescue a dog. All dogs that come into their care are seen through to a good life. Whether it's given to a new home or cared for by their foster people. Please vote for SSR!

Southern Siberian Rescue saves a very special breed of dog- the Siberian Husky. I don't know how they do it so well because they are really a very small group of people with little to no resources. They do not scimp around the edges. These beautiful animals are provided a safe and loving home for the rest of their lives. Careful screening takes place before a dog goes home with anyone. And they come back to SSR if the placement does out work out. The two dogs I adopted from SSR are the best behaved dogs I have ever had. Go figure. I love the breed. My next dog will come from SSR because I know I will get a good match for me and my family.

If it wasn't for Southern Siberian Rescue there would be no Maizy (my Siberian). And I can't imagine life without her. They have been saving Siberian Huskies in the Southeast since 2002. They rescue Siberian Huskies facing death in shelters and always take the ones that are in the most need.

Northern breeds take a special owner. SSR makes sure that all those who adopt are prepared for the needs Huskies have. I have a Malamute (another misunderstood Northern Breed) and the Howling Hikers group in Charlotte still make us fell welcome. It is family helping family with SSR.

Southern Siberian Rescue (SSR)rocks! Hundreds of four legged lives have been saved as a result of their work. I'm a two time adopter from them and am sure I'll be a three timer soon enough. There are never enough foster homes, never enough money, never enough time but somehow someway - they always come through and take in one more to save another life - I'm forever grateful they exist and the joy they bring to so many lives - animal and human!!! ADOPT A DOG!!!!
