RDR takes care of disabled animals and provides them an extended, quality life that they otherwise wouldn't have had. Through their detailed, skillfully written blog, they educated all animal lovers in how a disabled pet can live a quality life.

I love RDR because they are helping animals that would probably not be adopted because of their special needs. It's a lot of hard work for Steve and Alayne but the love and appreciation they receive from each animal makes their efforts well worth while.

Rolling Dog Ranch provides a wonderful, safe, and loving environment for disabled unadoptable animals. Steve and Alayne work incredibly hard yet they have the time to let all of us share in the heart warming and heart breaking lives of all. This is one place where we can see our donations in action every day. Wish we could give more.

I love them because they have committed their lives to take in animals who may otherwise be put to sleep. They realize that even with their disabilities they can have quality of life. Steven and Alayne have inspired my family and I to take in several special needs animals who's future looked very uncertain. I am happy to say they have thrived and I truly believe they thank us everyday. Thank you Alayne and Steve.

Their committment to providing the best possible life to animals that so many others would have written off as hopeless or useless has been such an inspiration to me. I actually see the world in a different way because of the wonderful work they do. Thank you Rolling Dog Ranch!

Rolling Dog Ranch takes in "hopeless" cases and turns the lives around of "throwaway" animals, ones that are blind, deaf, missing limbs, etc. Even with 70-80 animals, Steve and Alayne know each individual personality, medical needs, and special scratching spots, and tailor their care accordingly. Five minutes after walking into the shelter, you realize these dozens of animals are happy, well cared for, and deeply loved. Dogs romp with each other, tails wagging, or snooze peacefully; horses graze side by side sharing occasional nuzzles with their pasture buddy. Disabilities don't keep them from living full lives at RDR.

Rolling Dog is a beautiful, unique place for disabled horses, cats and dogs that provides love, care, warmth and companionship to those who are sadly considered disposable to much of society. I'm proud to support this facility whenever possible in any way possible.

The Rolling Dog Ranch takes animals that most shelters can't keep due to their "horrible disabilities", or blindness when it comes to a horse. Steve & Alayne give all the dogs, cats & horses in their care unconditional love & the very best in vet care. Recently one dog got his sight restored! Another got his tumor removed from his muzzel, so now he can smell, although he is still blind and deaf. All the animals there are so happy because they are getting the best care on earth!

Steve and Alayne at Rolling Dog Ranch love and care for the "disposable" animals: those who are disabled in some way. These two people recognize that inside, every animal is perfect love.

I love to visit the Rolling Dog Ranch blog every day for Steve and Alayne's heartwarming stories and pictures of the disabled animals on the ranch. They can make me laugh or cry or nod my head in agreement, but it always makes me happy to read about the second chances given to these wonderful animals.

After reading about the RDR in a 'People' magazine, on my next vacation I traveled 2,500 miles to see this place for myself. I was and still am in awe of what Steve and Alayne do out there on their Montana ranch. I actually envy them for being strong enough to do what they do, and wish that I was. The RDR blog makes me laugh and cry, often in the same post; once you learn about each animal it becomes important to know what is going on in their lives, both the ups and the downs. Steve & Alayne are VERY dedicated animal lovers.

RDR takes in nothing but disabled animals that would die if they were not rescued from shelters because nobody wants a physically disabled, blind, deaf, etc. animal. They are given a forever home, the best medical care that money can buy, and all the love they can soak up. It is Paradise for the lucky animals that get to call RDR their home. They were once animals at the very bottom of the save list who now all get another chance to have the care they were denied, to be happy and without pain, and loved no matter what.

EVERYTHING!!!! This is the most wonderful animal shelter in the U.S.! Steve Smith and Alayne Marker are the most caring, loving and compassionate people to each of these disabled animals. Each and every animal is given such fantastic care -- their vet. bills are enormous, but each animal is very worth it! As another voter noted -- "these animals reach their full potential and show ALL OF US that the disabilities they may have, are in our eyes -- and not in theirs"! The Rolling Dog Ranch is such a caring place for these precious animals to live out the rest of their lives with love and comfort!

What Steve and Alayne do is truly a miracle. These animals have no hope left when they come to Rolling Dog Ranch, and they are given a safe home, proper medical care, and most importantly, LOVE! The animals reach their true potential, and show us all that their disabilities are in our eyes, not theirs.

Everything I have read about this sanctuary seems to show that it provides a beatiful setting for disabled animals to be truly cared for and allowed to live out their lives in as full and happy a manner as "normal" animals. Steve and Alayne must be extremely generous and caring people to devote their lives to undertaking this very challenging task.

These folks not only have their hearts in the right place, they work their tails off dawn to dusk. They do physical labour, but they also use their corporate (former lives) skills to raise funds to enable excellent vet care and keep the Ranch afloat. I am so proud of them!
