I love Long Island Bulldog Rescue for all the care and love they give every bulldog. I have never seen them refuse to take a bulldog from a shelter or from an owner. It is not easy to care for the bulldogs that come into rescue, most come with lots of medical issues. These issues are usually very expensive but everyone at LIBR work to get them taken care of no matter what.

I love my shelter because of all the unending love they have for every english bulldog that needs a home and medical attention. They work tirelessly to try and find a forever home for everyone of the dogs they continually rescue.

bulldogs have extensive health problems that cost alot of money on a regular basis. having owned 2 bulldogs in my lifetime, I know this by experience. My last bulldog, Lucy lived 11 yrs passing away suddenly this past January. My heart is so sad, but it was how i wanted her to go. fast.no pain. Lucy was a product of bad breeding, puppy mills. She had extensive issues that cost me on average of $4,000 per year sometimes more. surgeries, medications (up to 6pills daily) ,I know it seems like alot but she was sooooo worth it and it kept her healthy enoough to be a happy dog in the time she was with us. god I miss her..I still look for her to greet me.....well anyway, I didnt mention that my very first bully was from the bulldog rescue club, "Archie".unfortunately he didnt live as long as Lucy. He passed at the age of 2. very very sad day. this was back in approx 1997. So in honor of my two beautiful bullies, i would love for the bulldog rescue to win the money, god knows they will need it.
