ECAH is awesome for all the hard work they do for animals. No-kill shelters are awesome and those cats in that house have a wonderful life, even if no one adopts them. If I was a cat, I would be thrilled to be at the Cat House.

I got involved with ECAH when a stray, very pregnant cat came to my back door. She was clearly a pet that was abandoned due to her pregnancy. I fed her and the next day she had her kittens in the bushes. She was a sweet as could be. A neighbor and I took her and the kittens in. I contacted several rescue groups but no one would help. We just wanted advice on how to raise the kittens and how to get them adopted, not the drop the problem or costs in their laps. We were both totally lost on how to care for the momma and kittens. The only rescue group that helped was ECAH They were wonderful. Their cat experts told us what to feed the kittens, when they would starting eating, what litter to use, etc. All the details that we needed to feel confident about caring for them. The neighbor kept one of the kittens and we found homes for all of them. Now I volunteer with them and foster another cat.

ECAH is a no-kill shelter. They are very thorough and careful about who they allow to adopt their animals in order to be sure it is a good match and that the adopter will be a good pet owner.
