Whiskers' mission to take in the stray, abandoned, and abused cats is helping to make a difference fo so many cats in the Albany area. They also have the only cage-free shelter in the Capital District. Whiskers makes a lifetime commitment to every cat they take in; the volunteers are dedicated and hard-working and truly care about the cats.
At Whiskers we believe every life is meaningful and worth saving. We go the extra mile to do whatever it takes to make each cat and kitten's life we commit to the best it can be. Every cat and kitten we take in gets Whiskers lifetime pledge to be there for them for their entire lives if need be.

Wonderful, nurturing place for homeless cats.
Whiskers is such an awesome group, not a lot of shelters in the area spend as much time and effort on cats. These guys are great!
This group never turns away any cat - they always manage to find someone to care for every cat, no matter the situation. They deserve much gratitude for their caring ways of our feline friends.
