America's Favorite Animal Shelter Contest

I love this shelter. They are warm and caring when it comes to these animals in need. My lovely Louie came from Heart of Catskills. He was found as a stray and they kept him for over a year till he found us! I'm so happy they still had him when we needed him. And Louie's sister was adopted by one of the staff. That is how special this place is. They do their best with what they have but they would really put this prize to good use.

They treat their pets like family! The staff is sooo extremely friendly, and are ALWAYS so nice when i go to volunteer. They have so many great animals, cats and dogs, who are super loving and are just waiting for a home to care for them. I LOVE THIS SHELTER

They work very hard to make sure all the animals are well cared for. They were so helpful to me when I was looking to adopt a cat. They were well organized and also very friendly and compassionate. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in my area that is looking for a forever friend.

it is a very caring place which relies on many volunteers, foster families and school groups. It is clean, well organized, and the staff are fantastic. I have adopted several dogs from this shelter over the years, and they were well cared for and their histories were thorough.

This shelter does such a great job. They united me with 2 of the greatest dogs in the world!!!!

I have had the pleasure of adopting my dog and two cats from Heart of the Catskills. The facility is beautiful and well-kept, the animals are given the best care, and the staff are simply amazing. I have enjoyed volunteering for the shelter, and am inspired by both the staff and the other volunteers who consistently give their all.

I work at this shelter, it is an amazing shelter, I love working here! The environment is clean, friendly, helpful, organized, and loving! Out of all the other shelters I have visited I am so proud to say that I work here, it is definitely one of the best shelters I have ever seen and I have heard the same countless times!
