They work very hard to make sure all the animals are well cared for. They were so helpful to me when I was looking to adopt a cat. They were well organized and also very friendly and compassionate. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in my area that is looking for a forever friend.

I have had the pleasure of adopting my dog and two cats from Heart of the Catskills. The facility is beautiful and well-kept, the animals are given the best care, and the staff are simply amazing. I have enjoyed volunteering for the shelter, and am inspired by both the staff and the other volunteers who consistently give their all.

I work at this shelter, it is an amazing shelter, I love working here! The environment is clean, friendly, helpful, organized, and loving! Out of all the other shelters I have visited I am so proud to say that I work here, it is definitely one of the best shelters I have ever seen and I have heard the same countless times! Love Heart of the Catskills. I got Tuscarora "Rory Boy" there - a black lab mix. One of the smartest, sweetest, most loving dogs ever. When he died, they treated as as we felt - like we lost a member of our family. Great people!

They treat their pets like family! The staff is sooo extremely friendly, and are ALWAYS so nice when i go to volunteer. They have so many great animals, cats and dogs, who are super loving and are just waiting for a home to care for them. I LOVE THIS SHELTER

It's a community of wonderful people with a passion to help these furry babies with no voice of their own. We have amazing supporters, and everyone involved with HCHS has hearts as big as all outdoors.

this is a small shelter in delhi new york and have a lot of animals to care for. thet r doing their best but it would sure help with food blankets toys staff all the stuff a shelter needs. they have a small budget but one of the biggest hearts. please consider. i will spread the word about the contest. thanks

Deb and the gang are dedicated, loving professionals who work tirelessly for the benefit of the furry residents at Heart of the Catskills Humane Society. Deb has been known to spend some snowy nights at the shelter to make sure all are cared for, just in case her staff couldn't arrive through bad weather. You all rock!!

I live in South Carolina, but feel so strongly about the excellent care the dogs and cats receive at this shelter, I felt compelled to volunteer in whatever way I can to help them. I visit as often as I can up in NY and work at the shelter's store where 100% of the sales go to the care of the dogs and cats. And lots of volunteers "foster" cats and dogs in their own homes due to lack of space at the shelter. It is a small shelter with a BIG Heart and lots of love and care for the pets there awaiting their "forever" homes. The shelter staff is so dedicated and all the volunteers work so hard at fundraising so they can continue the mission of caring for so many "unwanted" or previously abused cats and dogs. Once they arrive at the shelter or their foster homes, they are given abundant love and attention. It would truly be a Blessing to receive/win this $15,000 or any amount.

We adopted a wonderful dog from there! They kept him for long time until we adopted him and I am glad they did! He is a sweetheart and I would look there again the next time I need a pet.

I've adopted two cats from this shelter. One unfortunately passed away from feline leukemia, but Heart of the Catskills was so kind and offered to allow us to adopt another cat free of charge because they felt so bad about our situation. They are a wonderful organization that deserves all the funding they can get.

A dear friend adopted a great dog at this shelter. They are caring people and try, try & try some more.

This is a small shelter that has done amazing things for homeless animals. They are located in an economically challenged area and need all the support they can get. We have adopted four great pets from them over the last several years, but can only do so much for them. The extra money would mean a lot for these hardworking folks trying to make a difference.

My cousin adopted an animal from you that you took care of till they adopted her.

I love this shelter. They are warm and caring when it comes to these animals in need. My lovely Louie came from Heart of Catskills. He was found as a stray and they kept him for over a year till he found us! I'm so happy they still had him when we needed him. And Louie's sister was adopted by one of the staff. That is how special this place is. They do their best with what they have but they would really put this prize to good use.

This is a smaller shelter, run by caring people, set on the edge of the Catskill mountains of upstate New York.

I agree, in the country here there are a large number of animals that need help.

It's a country shelter with all the challenges that come with the territory- abandoned pets at the end of summer and a glut of kittens in the spring/summer. I have adopted 3 kittens and have been happy with them. The shelter has a caring, dedicated staff with good volunteers who are constantly trying to make ends meet. $15,000 would be a tremendous blessing.

The shelter is great, they really give love and attention to all animals. The staff/volunteers are constantly striving to make the animals lives the best they can be under the circumstances. They truly deserve to win.

They have an adoption center at our local PetSmart and I got a cat there. They do not spay too early, have an excellent process to make sure animals going to a good home, and the staff is loving and humane. They are very deserving of 15,000.
