This shelter will treat special care animals instead of euthanizing them. I adopted my dog, Bailey, from this shelter after he had been transferred from another shelter. They treated his head wound. He seemed to be a very scared and sad dog. I am so grateful that they didn't euthanize him. He's an awesome dog.

As a volunteer at SHS, I am so amazed by the exceptional work they do every day. And I found Socks, my kitty who is so happy in our home!

The Seattle Humane Society creates are warm, loving environment for all animals. I got my sweet rescue hamster there last fall and they even called a couple times to make sure I didn't have any questions!

No Kill shelter that is funded by donations and grants. I am lucky enough to get to volunteer once a week with the cats in admissions. The animals are well cared for!

This Humane Society cares for a very large number of animals because it is the only one for a big area, and does a great job.

We got the best pet either of us had ever had--a cat--from Seattle Humane Society. We had her for 16 years and miss her still. Kudos to Seattle Humane Society!

No kill, lots of love, time to find a good home, lots of kitty furniture, separate rooms for differently socialized cats, and Stella, a young firebrand of a long-hair brown tabby who is giving my older guy Maxim a four-legged run for his money.

They have so many fabulous outreach and in-house programs. They try to save every single pet they can, and will let them stay with them for as long as it takes to find them a good home.
