This is the best shelter in Illinois. The people are caring, attentive and loving towards all their animals. They love it when they can place shelter animals with a family that will love them just as much, but have a hard time parting with them because they care about them so much! They spend time with all the animals individually and give them all the attention they need and want. The animals are very, very happy!

I love Bertrell Farms because of their committment to saving animals. We rescued Rudie, an orange and white kitten who had many brothers and sisters; they were committed to finding homes for all of them and I know they kept a few for themselves!

They are amazing people whom treat the animals in the shelter the same as they would their own children. They are very educated and have great knowledge of animals. I couldn't think of any other other shelter that would deserver more than Bertell Farms.
