McKamey takes good care of their animals while in house and are very careful about the homes they are adopted in. They love animals and want what is best for them.

They are a well organized and very helpful shelter. They really care about the animals and the people that come to adopt. They make adoption easy and fun. Great organization!

They have taken in a lot of animals misplaced by the tornados we had in our area in April of this year- above and beyond what they had space for in their shelter.

When my husband and I went to the shelter in August 2010 to look at cats, the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Also, everything was very clean and orderly. I have been to several other shelters before, but this one has gone above and beyond my expectations!! When it's time for us to get our cat a new friend, McKamey will be the first place we go!!

Being a former employee of another shelter in the area and visiting other shelters in different states has greatly impressed me on the care and hard work of taking care of society's forgotten, abused, and lost animals. I currently work at Mckamey and have for almost a year to this day it still blows my mind the care that Karen Walsh, Paula hurn, Trisha Sebes and the rest of the Staff show so much compassion for the animals and each other providing enrichment for every animal giving full medical service to the animals who need it. It is amazing to have a boss as careing as we have at Mckamey who will ask u how your sick child is doing will actually listen to a employees ideas.and.tries every way possible to make it a better safer,and healthier place for the animals and employees. All of the employees including management and even volunteers work together to make every animal's. Life a little better and even each others. This is one job I will never forget with people I wont forget as well
