While rescuing big cats is our main objective, we help support many animal charities by donating free tickets and experiences to their fundraisers and we offer a Spay and Play program whereby anyone who has their pet altered, or who adopts one that is altered, can bring us a copy of the receipt and get a free $25. tour.

BCR's small but amazing staff along with all of incedibly dedicated volunteers and supporters, ensure that the animals' welfare is put above all else. Their great work extends well beyond the boundries of the rescue to educate people and benifit wildlife all over the world.

I took a trip to Florida with my Dad about 4 years ago. We originally went to swim with the manatee's, but my favorite part of the trip was going to the Big Cat Rescue. I love the fact that they help these cat's live happy lives, and they tell you a lot about the cat's. And now I'm going to get married at the Big Cat Rescue!

Big Cat Rescue is doing everything I would hope a big cat organization would do and more. I hope I can one day work with them to raise funds and keep these cats safe and out of danger. I love their mission and want to see it furthered.

Because this is the most natural setting for the big cats that have been abused, they are cared for without taking away their freedom.

Big Cat Rescue gets it. Big cats aren't pets and belong in the wild. But those that can't return because they've been injured, or formed dependencies on humans, have been given a home as close to their own as possible. This humane venture is heartening.

Big Cat Rescue is the most devoted, caring, and appreciative cause it has ever been my privilege to have any connection to. The relationships between the cats and the donors is personalized, and it's therefore small surprise that the relationship between the operators and the donors is, too. They're great people saving great animals, and either giving them long and happy lives, or at the least offering a pleasant, loving environment for the last months of the often terrible lives that a cruelly commercial society has inflicted on them.
Big Cat Rescue lives up to the nobility of its residents; you can't say more than that.

I have been to Big Cat several times and find it a wonderful place. It's so GREAT to know that animals that have been abandoned and/or abused have a place to live out their years in comfort and kindness in the rescue. Carol and the staff and volunteers are fantastic with the animals, and also with people wanting to help and also learn, about the cats. It offered me the opputunity to hear a tiger "chuff", just because he was happy to see his caretaker and know that there was no torment or torture,or taunting with it. And also hear a lion roar, and not have it be because he had a whip being cracked at him. The animals are well cared for and cared about, you can hear it in the voices of the staff as they talk to the cats and even about the cats, as they prepare their food, or clean their enclosures. I have heard that Sher-Kahn likes this kind of spice or flavor in his treats, and Hercules(snow leopard) will bite his paws, so they ask, that if you see this behavior to ignore him or turn your back and he will stop because of not getting attention.I have never seen such care and treatment like this in a rescue setting, not even at our local shelters for domestic animals. Big Cat Rescue deserves more praise and appreciation than even I can give. I'm so proud of what they do, I rave to anyone who will listen.

A good organization that is not for profit on big cats and genuinely cares about rescuing big cats. Big Cat Rescue also provides a community service for volunteers and interns which is an excellent program for education to the public and getting the community involved about the true reality of big cats existence and their lack of place in the world that is overcrowded by human existence. Giving back the quality of life also shows how much we've come from dominating the animal kingdom and yet having the humbleness to give something back to animals with this kind of organization. I also appreciate the organization is getting onboard by educating people online through their website and sharing video clips on youtube, the most popular website. Way to go.
