deb is doing such wonderful work with all the birds it takes 12,000 a month to run the shelter and she also lives at the shelter to help the birds 24/7

You know parrots live a very long time and may just outlive you. Wouldn't it be comforting to know a place like Wings will still be open if/when you or your family might need them. Think about it.

I hear they do great work.

My sister is involved with this bird rescue and sanctuary and thinks it is fabulous. From where I sit I do not know how the lady that runs the place keeps going, she lives there and never leaves the birds alone. She cleans, feeds, reahabs, educates the public and so on and so on. God bless her, lets help her and the birds out by donating whatever we can. You know there are not very many quality shelters left in the USA for birds, and the homeless ones just keep on a coming.

There are very few bird shelters in this country and we need to do all we can to keep the ones we have from closing. This place takes in so many birds and is a no kill shelter, please help to save it. Visit their website and make a samll/large donation, whatever you can spare.

I have heard so much good about this place and the lady who runs it. This place his her life and she helps so many exotic birds. I can hardly believe that humans do so much bad things to these beautiful creatures. It has got to stop, and the owner is trying to accomplish that, god bless her.

Wings Over The Rainbow is the one place I know that birds can go when there is nowhere else left to go. Wings provides top-notch care, attention and love for miss-treated, neglected and forgotten birds. The rescue takes emotionally and physically handicapped birds and gives them hope for a better life. My daughter in law thinks this is the greatest place in the world. They help so many birds that are homeless who needs love.

This shelter like so many other shelters are in jeopardy of closing. They are needed so much as the number of abandoned, abused, neglected and injured companion birds is growing. There is no other bird shelter that I know of that does the kind of work this one does.

The owner of this shelter works 24/7 to care for the birds she literally loves more than her own life. We all know had hard times are but for the forgotten pet, the bird, it is even harder. They need so much more care and attention than you can even imagine.

Wings Over The Rainbow is an amazing shelter. I have personally seen transitions of birds at this shelter, and to put so much time and love in them you have to be totally selfless.

Debra is totally unselfish and loves those birds with all her heart, her first focus is that they get the best of care and she is always second! That money could help her rescue during these hard economic times.

My friend runs this shelter and litterally gives her life's blood to those birds. It is her 24/7 passion! It is her LIFE! She truly LOVES those feather babies. Deborah spends countless hours of her time cleaning, feeding, rehabing, and loving her birds. She puts every penny of Her own money into them even at the expense of her own welfare. Wings Over the Rainbow helps the forgotten pets, companion birds that have been abandoned, neglected or abused. Some are adoptable. Some are too damaged to be adopted and are give a home at the sanctuary. Resources are tight.

As an outside observer, I can make a honest note of dedication from a woman who loves her birds. "Yes" that would be Deborah. With many larger shelters who have employees that see this all as a job, there is Over the Rainbow's owner and staff that see it as a gift. There is more love and caring with this small shelter than one would ever find in all these larger places put together. Thank you Deborah for being there not only for our little feathered friends, but for those of us on the outside that are not able to do what all you have done and continue to do for these loved ones, no matter what life had and most likely will throw at you...Thank you.

Deborah Shell has done an outstanding job of protecting and restoring to health many abused feathered friends. She has been dedicated to the welfare of the birds for as long as I have known her, which is over 20 years. She is deserving of any support that would help maintain her ability to continue in her efforts.

The love and careing for these neglected and abused birds, is something that must be seen first hand. These are very special people.

I think anyone who would open their hearts to serve others, especially those who can't speak for themselves deserves to be recognized.

Wings Over the Rainbow does for Parrots what no one else is willing to do in our town. There is love, sadness, mischief, and a whole lot of need. I can be down in the dumps and walk into Wings and see the beauty and love that happends there and I walk out with a whole new outlook on life. If it weren't for the sacrifices that Deborah makes, one large or small bird may could never feel the love and care that each and every one of them deserves. We can't give up on them, they are the forgotten pet for laws and abuse. Wings will keep fighting but needs donations desperately to continue their work.

This shelter is a most wonderful place indeed. The tireless efforts of the owner and board members are amazing. Without the care and love provided her the birds would be.............well, let's not think about that. They have helped someone I know get through a very difficult time by taking in and caring for her pet with unconditional love and understanding.

Deborah the founder of this Exotic Bird Rescue and Sanctuary has dedicated her life to the care of these beautiful creatures of nature. Deborah actually lives on the premises so the birds are never left alone. Deborah is an amazing woman who cares for the abandoned, abused, injured/sick and those who are healthy but the owners have passed or are sick themselves and can no longer care for their pets. Most of these birds have special needs and are behaviorally challenged. She has sit all night cradling a bird that is dying because of abuse and/or neglect and it is just too late when an owner gives it up. I could go on and on but will not.
