WeI have it in our will for our animals to go to The Cat House on the Kings, should they live longer than we do, along with money for their care. It is one of the few places where they will care for the animals and let them go outside as well.

This place goes way beyond a shelter for cats (and dogs) but makes it their home until someone comes to adopt them. Love and security abounds here.

Over three years ago this wonderful facility helped me with providing a home for over 17 feral cats from my work place. Myself and co worker were trapping, spaying or neutering and then releasing, we were their food and water provider. We were asked to stop, at this point I contacted Lynea. To date as I have stated she takes care of the cats I have brought out, we have a few people that are helping with donations to help support them. All other cats and kittens we trapped, we were lucky enough to find homes for. Think about 32 all together, which I have three of them, lucky me. Love this place and all the people too!!! The Cat House on the Kings is OUTSTANDING!!

CAT HOUSE ON THE KINGS RESCUES MANY CATS THAT ARE UNADOPTABLE AND ALLOWS THESE CATS TO LIVE OUT THEIR LIVES; THE RESCUE IS LOCATED IN AN AREA WHERE THERE ARE FEW RESOURCES FOR THIS KIND OF WORK BUT THE VOLUNTEERS WORK HARD TO SAVE THESE CATS!

The Cat House on the Kings is heaven on earth for abandoned and abused cats and kittens. I adopted two CH Kitties about ten years ago. One was by choice, The second one not so much. I stopped by to drop off some cat food and supplies and a tiny grey kitty actually mugged me and refused to let me leave without taking him home. He's turned out to be the best cat I've ever been owned by.

I believe Cat House on the Kings is one of the most amazing home shelters for Cats and some dogs that I have ever seen. The peaceful energy between the cats and dogs who roam freely about the six acres of grass lands with a pond near by is idyllic for these calm, peaceful animals. I have never seen a place like it before. Well done!

I love the cat house because they LOVE cats. They are a no kill shelter which uses its monies to incorporate facilities FOR the cats. They currently have an ICU, a kitten trailer, and senior citizen trailer. They also have a few dogs which is wonderful because if you want to adopt a cat; they are used to dogs being around. My all time favorite day is to go to the cat house and pet kitties. SO many kitties that want love and attention. I encourage anyone who lives in the area or visiting, to go visit. The cat house will absolutely melt your heart!

I have been to the shelter called 'The Cat House on the Kings' and it really is a wonderful shelter for cats. They have lots of open field areas with lots of trees to roam around in (it is protected by cat-proof fences, I think). There a at least two homes on the property where the cats live and several other smaller buildings that houses various cats in their stages of life. They also have a special building / area just for the HIV/Felv cats.

the work they do there is honorable, and hard. the amount of animals that the care for is staggering. It was started by a woman that loves the animals, and has grown, it is no kill, they love all of the little ones, and they deserve the money, to grow, and add on, so there is more for the kitties to free roam, and play, and receive the medical care too. This place is run with love, and the fields are free, and it is the garden of enden on earth, and it surely is a place for unloved kitties to go, and receive the love they deserve. If they were closer to me, i would volunteer. My home burned down 4 months ago, and I lost all of my precious pets in the fire, they are all in heaven now, and I miss them with my heart and sould. Please support the work of this shelter, the animals are depending on you.

The Cat House on the Kings is the Heavenly gates on earth for all animals who enter. All the unlucky, injured, unwanted, abused, neglected, ferel, abandoned, dumped, and any animal in between are always welcome with open arms and unconditional love at The Cat House on the Kings. So many animals depend daily on the Cat House on the Kings for there care and home. Being a non-profit of this stature is always challenging and the people of the Cat House are always on a mission to continue sheltering and providing for those who need them. The love and support for these animals is felt the minute you walk through the gate. If I was an animal, this is the place I would run to, if I was able. The Cat House on the Kings not only loves these little ones and care for animals alike, but, they also respect animals and it truly shows. Please check out what they do on there website. The videos are so amazing. Cathouseonthekings.com

The animals are so well-cared for and obviously are well-loved. When a visitor stops for a moment, or sits under a tree, immediately cats come to join them for a quiet moment. The trust they show is a wonderful demonstration of the love they receive. Wonderful place for animials to meet their potential "room mates."

This woman has done an incredible job of having a healthy, clean, well run sanctuary w/o being a hoarder. Being a foster home for many years, I know what kind of work goes into a shelter like this one. The fact she has turned her home over to this cause is so unconditional love and compassion for the beings who can't speak for themselves.

The Cat House on The Kings is run by a wonderful woman and her staff. She is incredibly dedicated and takes in animals mostly cats but also some dogs and other animals that need temporary homes....they have fenced in areas for running around, trees to climb, separate areas for quarenteed animals and a forever home in case they somehow do not get adopted out. This is a wonderful shelter that is NO KILL and is very organized and loving.....No cages unless absolutely necessary but every animal is loved and looked after well.

I had throat cancer 1 1/2 yrs ago and am waiting to be cancer free from my docs( at the 2yr mark). I have three cats I love dearly and when i had my surgery, radiation and chemo they were with me for those tough months. If anything happens to me I know there is a place where I can send them that will give them the love, joy and kindness they gave me. God has truly blessed this sanctuary. Liz

As a kennel worker at an animal shelter in Montreal, I can truly appreciate a facility which cares for cats that would otherwise have been euthanized. North America has a surplus of companion animals, the majority of which are cats. Because kittens are "cuter" and more adoptable, adult cats tend to be forgotten in shelters; and many are euthanized due to sickness, stress and a lack of space. The Cat House on the Kings is an amazing shelter because it offers an alternative to being adopted. For unwanted adult cats that arrive at this shelter, their options are not just "be adopted, stay in your cage or be put down", but "be adopted, or live a free life of comfort" - and that is truly revolutionary. Keep up the good work!

It's no-kill, they sincerely care about the cats, and they try to educate the public regarding spay and neuter. There are so many beautiful kitties that no one wants, and even the old and not-so-pretty ones get to live in a nice place where they are cared for. Cat House provided low-cost spay and neuter for the kittens born to a stray momma under my house and told me where I could take them to be adoped, because Cat House had more than they could handle at the time.

There is no place like home and to over 700 cats, a few dogs, goats, and peacocks, there is no place like the Cat House on the Kings. They are a fully functioning organization that is truly dedicated to serving the common good of animals. The staff are so dedicated, warm, kind and compassionate with both the animals they care for and the visitors they host on the orchard. They not only save animals, they take real good care of each and every one of them as if they are their own. Venessa rocks the ICU and Linda shines in the Senior center! Thank you for all the love and kindness you have given to the animals you care for and all the positive energy that you share to the world. =)

I wish there were many more organizations like Cat House on the Kings! The cats look so happy. I love the fact that they care for cats of all dispositions, not just ones considered adoptable, and for the fact they have the Leukemia and FIV areas. Most shelters automatically put down cats that carry the FIV or Leukemia virus. My husband and I have an FIV cat and he is a wonderful pet. It is human indifference that caused the overpopulation problem, and I say three cheers to Lynea and her staff for providing a wonderful place where the cats can live a comfortable life.

Cat House on the Kings do their utmost to give their cats a 'home-a-way from a home' while waiting for adoption. With a large property to play on the cats are able to have cat-lives and enjoy themselves living as a cat should until that special human comes along to take them home. Its a shelter that helps cats live stress-free. I love the idea.

At Cat House on the Kings, 700 kitties have a large property to roam around on while they wait for adoption. If they don't get adopted, they live out their days on the property, well cared for by the staff. Lynea, the founder, says a cat should be able to "run at full speed and climb a tree", and I completely agree. I have volunteered in shelters where cats live out their lives in cages. It is heartbreaking. Cat House on the Kings is a much better model for a shelter. It really is the ideal.

Cat House was absolutely fabulous. When I showed up to adopted to lovely feline males. The took me on a tour of the free range facility. The animals are not kept in cages and they have heated areas to stay warm in the winter. Also my new babies came home and promptly caught a cold them medicated them for me as well. These are wonderful people and they really care.

The Cat House on the Kings is the best animal shelter as they never put an animal to sleep if they can't find it a home and they aren't in cages/confined spaces. They have freedom to roam like all animals should and look so much happier compared to other shelters. I think this shelter should definitely win so they give more cats the best care possible.

This shelter takes in cats which other shelters do not think of taking. Most of the "feral" cats are either left to fend on their own or trapped and taken to the pound and put to sleep. They are warm, loving, smart, clever, cute and sometimes outrageous but some people do not do right by them by spaying/neutering so that there are not too many cats and not enough homes for them. Cat House on the Kings is the most wonderful place for these poor babies who for whatever reason are without loving families can be cared for and live out their lives in love and serenity if they are not adopted. God bless Lynnea Lattanzio for the work she does.

Having a "no kill" shelter where cats can live indoors and outdoors where they are cared for by people who love them is truly an awesome endeavor. Anyone who has ever visited this home would attest to the quality of care these very fortunate felines have. I wish I lived near enough to volunteer at the Cat House on the King but a 200-mile commute each way is not practical. So, helping to raise funds in order for this important work to continue is a priority.

The cats at the shelter enjoy an environment very much like my two cats do. They come and go as they please and we live far enough from a road that they are in no danger. I do bring them in at night because we have coyotes roaming.

Cat House is awesome in the fact they think of all the different types of cats. They have a retirement trailer for the old crotchedy kitties, a kitten trailer and an ICU. I love the fact that they also have dogs there. This way if anyone wants to adopt a cat that must be used to dogs - NOT a problem! I love the Cat House and so appreciate all they do! They are amazing and money invested here is WELL worth it!

The Cat House on the Kings is a life saver for many unwanted Cats, Kittens, Dogs, and Puppies. Without the compassion that is shown by Lynea, her staff and volunteers many four legs friends would no longer be with us today. She is tireless in her efforts to teach and to help everyone understand the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. If you have never been to the Cat House take a minute and check them out on-line, and when you get the chance come by and see the wonderful home she had made for so many animals.

The Cat House on the Kings is an awesome place. The owner Lynea is the most compassionate, loving and caring person I have ever met, other then myself, towards cats. She has given up her home, life, heart and soul to see that her cats have the opportunity to live their live out to the fullest. Lynea and her sanctuary is amazing and unbelievable. She has over 700 cats........OMG WOW. If I had one wish for her and the Kings it would be that there were more people/visitors on the grounds to give the cats the love and affection the so desire. Most of the employees there are there to see to it that the sanctuary runs at it's utmost efficiency and that the cats are taken care of, medically, and by feeding and watering them, but there doesn't seem to be enough time for them to spend time with the cats loving them up, petting them, hugging them, playing with them. If I could be there every day I would. I was lucky to have the privilege to have spent the weekend there a few months ago, I live 4 hours away, and it was better then a 2 week vacation, and I spent the whole time loving, petting and playing with a whole bunch of cats, they couldn't get enough. Maybe more visitors like me, would make the difference. Soooo check it out all you cat lovers. Take some time out of your busy life and share your love of cats with these amazing animals at the Cat House on the Kings, you will never forget the time you spend there. I myself plan on going back with more friends and family that I told about the place and they can't wait, neither can I. Keep up the great work Lynea and see you soon, your friend Sharon :o)

Cat House on the Kings is the best place for cats. They are very well taken care of, they have the room to roam, the older cats are in a special peaceful place to live out their lives and the kittens are given a good start in life until they are adopted. It is so much fun for me to go out there and have all the cats come meet you at the gate. They love visitors.

The Cat House on the Kings is a magical place. My husband and I have visited twice and hope to go again soon - there is no better place on earth for cat lovers and animal lovers. The 800 cats all live in harmony. They are all well taken care of, healthy, and have wonderful indoor and outdoor home environments. The staff are all very dedicated and kind, as well as very good at providing the animals with the best care possible. I wish I could do something special for the Cat House on the Kings, as I feel I was given a special gift by becoming a part of the Cat House on the Kings family. My husband and I adopted a kitten from the Cat House, and she is a true joy to us. Please help the Cat House, they deserve it!

I love Cat house on the kings because of all they do you cats and dog's. ANYONE that does this much of animals deserve alot more than $15,000.00. It just brings tears to my eye's knowing that 500 to 700 cats at the cat house on the kings has a safe place to come and they don't have to worry about being put to sleep. FIRST PLACE all the way for cat house on the kings. I have 12 cats myself. It is my small way to help out cats that would otherwise be put to sleep or have to live with someone that might abuse them in their homes/ Mike

The Cat House on the Kings is a haven, run by people of rare dedication. Being there was eye-opening -- there is an atmosphere of peace and beauty, and the animals have everything they could ever want -- they are cared for, they have both the freedom to roam outside (within a vast, secure, cat-fenced property) and access to warm, dry, housing when they choose to be indoors. The aged are cared for, the sick are cared for, and the babies, sick or well, are cared for. Lynea and the Cat House have taken in, cared for, and placed, thousands of animals. For the ones who are not adoptable, like the kitty I gave up, there is still a life -- the life of a cat, with all the freedom that entails. I eternally grateful for the existence of the Cat House on the Kings.

Cat House on the Kings is a haven for cats that would otherwise be euthanized or otherwise mistreated. Through CHOTK, I can sponsor one or more cats for pennies on the dollar, knowing they are being taken care of for the rest of their lives. I can only take in so many on my own, but I can count on CHOTK to take care of many more unfortunate castoffs. Lynea is the Mother Teresa of the feline world.

Protected, free to roam, living in harmony, and loved — not just cats but dogs, too! What more could an animal ask for as he waits for that special human to take him home and care for him as his guardian? Lynea's work is remarkable, and her heart-felt refuge attracts well-deserved support the world over for this small facility in California. I believe this funding would go a long way to help their operating costs, which are generally donation only.

There is the main house and dozens of other shelters, so the cats can live inside, outside or both; they choose.. I am in Australia, (Tasmania): a friend sent this link to me and I want to say GOD BLESS YOU for giving these beautiful creatures life - and quality life at that. Death for convenience or chuck it out is the norm world wide. I have 11 cats - one originally mine others rescued - they too have a right to life - and love, as these lucky felines have. Wish I was not so far away I could thank you in person and offer my hands to help. Cat House on the Kings is THE BEST thing my eyes have seen this year. Helen

This is the most amazing place. All the cats and kittens are so well taken care of. You can really tell Lynea loves all the kitties! She's a wonderful lady who has given up her beautiful home for the cats to live in. It's clean and does not smell of litter boxes. There is plenty of acreage for the cats to roam around. It must be heaven to be a cat living there!

First, I love cats! I love the freedom that the cats have there; to roam all over the property, and have interesting things to do. They can sleep on shady grass, or go inside one of the cute shelters. The cats all seem to get along. They are well cared for with food, medicine, and love. Each cat sees special.

There's so much to love but what really reminded me of how special the place is was when I read about a bunch of cats that were rescued (or taken from an island where they were threatening other wildlife) and like many people, I was concerned that they would be sent to a shelter and that would be the end of them. When I read further I saw they were being taken to The Cat House on the Kings and I knew that not only would they live, they would have a much better life ahead of them. I made it a point to comment on the story to tell them about The Cat House and that it deserves the support of people who love and care about the well being of cats. From SAD to GLAD, that's the Cat House on the Kings story for me...

Like Lynea Lattanzio, I found myself facing a divorce after 26 years of marriage. I learned about The Cat House on the Kings on "Must Love Cats" and was intrigued by Lynea's story and the residents of this wonderful haven. For myself, the fact there is a sanctuary where kitties and dogs can live out their lives without cages or threat of being euthanized is a metaphor for survival and healing. The Cat House on the Kings is proof there is a place in this world for everyone and the animals we love.

Our mission is to place rescued cats and kittens into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens in a unique, no-cage facility; to prevent pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership
