They provide an invaluable service to the animals they rescue and to their community. Not only do they put animals into loving new homes, they provide education and care training for current and new owners. They love all animals in their care and put a ton of time into making sure they're healthy and happy before and after adoption. And just look at their website! http://www.magichappensrescue.com/ Classy, beautiful, lots of time and love goes into maintaining it--just like the time and love that goes into caring for their animals. :)

This is a fantastic group of self-less, energetic animal lovers who are devoted to animals in general and rabbits in particular. They spend their time, energy, and money helping these animals. They are tireless in their devotion. I have every confidence that this money would be put to wonderful use helping more animals in need.

A small, but energetic group of animal lovers. They really care about the welfare of small pets that most people consider not that important. They are good at speaking out and educating the public. They could use the money because of all the rabbits they rescued this year. Each one is spayed or neutered before they are put up for adoption. Even with the reduced vet rate their expenses add up fast.

I love Magic Happens Rescue because they are devoted to what they do. They care deeply about the rabbits, guineas, and rats they find homes for-- making sure each one doesn't just go to a house, but makes sure they're going to a home that is ready for the responsibility of their new pet. They're so devoted to their cause they've partially abandoned just being a rabbit rescue, they'd probably take care of any animal that came into their "paws."

Magic Happens has changed me! I have been a volunteer and foster for about a year. It has taught me to be less selfish, and I have met so many awesome people. Wendy is a one woman show, she provides awesome for 20+ rabbits, rats, and g-pigs along with putting together adoption days, answering panicked phone calls from owners, reassuring those surrendering animals, educational programs, building a bunny barn, and generally just being a role model!

Wendy is always willing to help a rabbit or other animal in need. She's even rescued dogs, rats, mice, ferrets and guinea pigs. She was the first person who responded when we didn't know what to do for a sick rabbit that we found. My girlfriend and I regularly volunteer ever since.

there are always rescues and shelters for cats and dog and they get plenty of help and financial backing. The smaller animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. are forgotten or brushed off as not counting as pets and animals deserving of a loving home. MHRR takes in all small critters, advertises the animals qualities, cares for them well, and tries really hard to find forever homes. Very few volunteers and workers but they make it happen. Hard working caring group of people that need a lot of help.

Our rescue has found homes for over 500 rabbits and a few other small critters - pretty good for a group that was made up of less than 10 volunteers until last year! All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption, and new homes are screened and instructed in proper bunny care. MHRR also sends volunteers and "resident" bunnies to schools and daycamps as well as local festivals to help educate the public that rabbits are not disposable. Magic Happens is a resource for the community - we answer emails and phone calls about rabbit care and offer nail trims and boarding, no matter where the bunny came from. We are an all-volunteer group of dedicated foster homes and fans who make a BIG difference in the rabbits of Louisiana, and sometimes other states too!
