A group of volunteers have taken it upon themselves to raise awareness and the necessary funds to build a spacious no kill shelter to replace the pitiful no-window-shed-sized building that has been Oxford's animal shelter for years. In addition to raising money these tireless volunteers help to care for the animals and find forever homes for them.

With construction of the new shelter close to completion, it would be so great to have the funds to finish it nicely. So many have invested their time and talents to make this a worthy no-kill shelter. Bravo!

I am proud to be among the dedicated volunteers who have proved many a nay-sayer wrong! The new shelter project was undertaken in 2010 with much enthusiasm and unselfish giving by skilled construction and trades people in our town and community. We continue fund-raising efforts to complete the last 20-30% of the building and would be so grateful to receive this gift.

Oxford's shelter construction has been a community effort. We've come together to build a beautiful building where the animals of Oxford can be housed in a safe, clean environment. We're 80% complete but are in dire need of money to finish the project. The volunteers efforts and the community's donations have made our dreams come true.
