Critteraid is run entirely by volunteers who work tirelessly to rescue, house, treat, love and adopt out abandoned and injured animals including cats, kittens, dogs, horses, donkeys, and whatever other animals come along. The Critteraid Sanctuary currently hosts 103 animals. Also, they are responsible for CDART, the Canadian Disaster Animal Response Team, which rescues many pets each year during Okanagan Fires. Every last penny earned through constant fundraising goes directly to the animals and more is desperately needed.

Takes in all the wee cats that have no homes - homeless cats are a huge problem here. Also, they are entirely a volunteer based operation.

Critteraid is the best shelter because they care so much for the animals. Deb gives up so much of her time and money to make sure every animal gets the help they need and deserve.

Critteraid is an inspiration. Deb needs to be acknowledged as she does more work than 10 efficient people combined!!! I am beginning to think she is super human. The way that she is familiar with about 100 cats preferences and personalities, tastes and routines says so much. The animals are all family and loved as such.

Summerland Critteraid is one of the nicest, cleanest, friendlest, caring shelters I've ever been too and I'm proud to be a volunteer. The people there seem to go that extra mile to place their animals with people who are going to give them a good loving home. They take pride in what they do and it shows.

Not only does Critteraid do amazing things for critters coming from tough circumstances, but they are also very supportive of other animal organizations. The volunteers do so much with so little and their efforts make such a difference to each and every life their kind hands and loving hearts touch.

The animals at Critteraid are looked after in a very loving manner. The best thing, I think, is that they are not kept in cages, and that they have access to outside sheltered areas to enjoy some sunshine! Hats off to the caring and willing volunteeers.
