In a state that does not treat animals well, tiny Ivins City has supported the No Kill concept for 8 years. Well known and respected no kill advocate Nathan Winograd visited many years ago and spoke to our City Council right after we made the move to No Kill. At that time I believe we were No. 1 in the nation for our percentage save rate which was 98%. Quite an accomplishment for our little shelter. It takes a great deal of hard work and determination by all involved.

The love, care and quality that the Ivins "NO KILL" animal shelter gives to their animals is exceptional. Aggie is a wonderful shelter manger, along with all her volunteers. This is the only shelter I have ever seen where animals dont mind to come to visit! This shelter could teach the other shelters in our area a thing or two. Keep up the great work!!

This is not a large shelter but it is the most caring center I have seen. I have a Therapy dog which is a rescue dog and I could not be happier and neither could my dog.

I think our shelter is the best! They really care about animals and take great care of them. It's so great to know that they are no kill-every animal that ends up there will find a home. The shelter is always clean and orderly and the staff (lots are volunteers) is the BEST!! They are so friendly and take such great care of all those misfortunate animals.

Love what they do...love their involvement in the community...if one of our four legged friends has to be in a shelter, they couldn't ask for a better place temporarily than our Ivins shelter. Compassion and dedication is so very obvious!!!!

They took two dogs who were homeless when no one else in town would take them, and found them homes. They love the animals and it shows! They worked so hard to get the no kill designation--the only shelter in the state of Utah to do this. Hope all shelters will follow their example!

Incredible staff and volunteers devote so much of their time to this no kill facility. Ivins is a small town, with a small budget, yet serves the greater St. George, UT area and thousands of unwanted animals are cared for and placed in appropriate homes. We are so fortunate to have this kind of facility in our community.

The people at the shelter are the most caring and compansionate people. We have adopted a choclate lab and a brown cat from the shelter. They take such loving care of the animals and work so hard to get them into forever homes. They need the additional funding to help them continue the fantastic work that they do for the animals and the community.

This shelter has such a warm, loving feeling the second you drive up to it. Friendly staff and attentive who love their "jobs" and take great care in housing their animals. They're very, very involved in community efforts, education and outreach and it would be thrilling if they were awarded monies to increase their amazing efforts. Thanks!

I love the cat and kitten rooms at the Ivins Shelter, such a great facility, the cats can go outside or stay inside, lots of fun things to play on. And the staff there is wonderful, they let you come in with your kids and play with the kittens until you find just the right one, like we did with our Tyrone.
