I've fostered dogs for Motley Zoo a few times, and it's been wonderful. They do an all-foster network, so animals have a home, rather than being in a cold, terrible shelter.

I just adopted the best dog in the world, Bode, from Motley Zoo. They took great loving care of him and have been extremely helpful.

Our niece and her husband have adopted two incredible dogs from Motley Zoo .... They are just the best at what they do .... :))

Their dedication and persistence for finding fosters and forever homes.

Motley Zoo is the most incredible organization and shelter. I rescued 2 wild kittens and had no place for them to go when I moved to Europe. I called shelters, rescue organizations, and more for months before I found Motley Zoo. Even though they already had many animals they needed homes for, they still took my kittens and found them a great home together. They are an amazing group of people trying to help innocent animals find a new home. They deserve this award and are trying to do good things for our community.

Motley Zoo volunteers work tirelessly to foster and adopt dogs. Their screening process works to ensure a good match and home for their dogs. I adopted a Chi Hua Hua in November and am thoroughly in love with our little girl. Motley Zoo is also honest about behaviors and medical conditions so that prospective owners can make informed choices. This results in more successful matches. I feel that Motley Zoo Animal Recue is the best. My grandsons mother states that this is the bes and I believe in her.

Jme and her crew are one of the few ethical honest shelters in the state of WA. WA for some reason has many shelters that are adopting out sick animals but saying they are healthy or are using vets that have had licenses suspended for cost purposes. Motley Zoo maintains to be an ethical and safe place to adopt an animal. They tell you everything upfront and are stellar at saving great dogs.

Motley Zoo may be 900 miles from my home, but they matched me with the perfect dog. Their small group, that doesn't even have a building, will provide surgery for the injured animals that most shelters would euthanize. My rescue dog was scheduled to have her leg amputated at another shelter, but fortunately Motley Zoo picked her up and paid for not only one, but two surgeries. Janie is now hiking up mountains with our family. I also appreciate that they will allow adoptions to Alaska, which many groups will not. Their staff could not have been more helpful, caring, or flexible when helping us get our dog.

As a MotleyZoo foster parent, I truly admire the thought given to choosing the right home for each of the animals I've had the opportunity to love while waiting for its forever home. MotleyZoo has given me a lot of support, taken care of my fosters' medical needs quickly and thoroughly, and been a great resource in understanding the quirks of rescued animals. My own pets and I have benefited from the gift of being a foster family and I heartily recommend MotleyZoo as a great agency for transitioning animals from a difficult situation to a loving, final family.

Special needs dogs are hard to care for and hard to adopt out, but that doesn't stop this organization from taking on the financial and emotional burden of getting these animals healthy and giving them another chance at finding a loving home.

The executive director and all of the volunteers are selfless in their actions to save unwanted/abused animals. They do wonderful things. An they are a relatively new rescue organization who have worked so hard to get to where they are!

The team at the Motley Zoo and their entire foster home network are doing amazing work …work that I know would break my heart to do. I love Motley Zoo. I have not adopted an animal through them, but I have sought advice and have always received much needed advice in the care of my cats and neighborhood strays that I feed. Motley Zoo is the GREATEST!

We adopted our dog from Motley Zoo last year. They were a wonderful group to work with. The dogs are kept in foster homes and given a chance to get used to life in a home setting. They do everything they can for the animals and help animals that other shelters wouldn't even consider. We can't thank them enough for rescuing our little girl.
