America's Favorite Animal Shelter Contest

Adopt-a-Pet.com is a non-profit pet adoption charity that helps shelters, humane societies, SPCA's, pet rescue groups, and pet adoption agencies advertise their homeless pets to adopters for free.

Their main goal is getting homeless pets into homes using the power of TV, the Internet and a toll-free phone number to connect adopters with shelter pets and help pets go from alone to adopted.

How to get your shelter or rescue group in the contest:

All animal shelters and rescue groups that are registered with Adopt-a-Pet.com are eligible for the "America's Favorite Animal Shelter" contest. If you want to support a shelter or rescue group that you do not currently see on our contest site, please have a representative of that organization register their group with Adopt-a-Pet.com.

Adopt-a-Pet.com does not require 501(c)(3) non-profit status for shelters and rescue groups. However, the organization must be a legitimate rescue organization and must be in possession of any local or state-required permits necessary for its operations.

Registration is simple, and approval only takes about 24 hours on average. So send your group's representative to Adopt-a-Pet.com's registration form. Once your favorite group has been added to the database, you can come back here to vote!
