Join in the next peaceful protest of Austin Petland:

Date: Saturdays
Time: 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM
Where: Southpark Meadows Petland store, 9900 IH 35 (the furthest southern end of Southpark Meadows, located off the service road of I-35 southbound, South of Slaughter Lane, between Chili's and the Cinemark movie theatre)



Shifts will be 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (you are welcome to stay for both shifts).

What YOU can do:
    


  • Please contact Calene to sign up.


  • Bring a sign and bring a friend - friendly dogs on leashes are also welcome.

  • Do not patronize stores like Petland that sell puppies and kittens; not for an animal, not even for supplies. Instead shop at stores that support animal rescue.


  • Contact the Southpark Meadows management company to let them know that Austin does not welcome Petland:

The national chain that has a horrible reputation of selling puppies and kittens mostly from factory style puppy and kitten breeders (also known as puppy mills and kitten mills) is opening its doors in Austin even though most in the animal welfare community are against the business coming here.


Join other animal advocates Saturdays in May outside of the Southpark Meadows shopping center store at 9900 South IH 35 Suite 400. We will educate the public as to why Petland is not welcome in Austin and why animal lovers should not purchase a new pet from the national chain.
