members one and all to Ask the Vet Techs, we are happy you can join us and will do our best to help you with your questions and concerns as they arise.
We ask that upon entering the group that you PLEASE read (at least one time) the thread titled:NEW to Group (or OLD) -PLEASE Read. Just click the link! This lists the logistics behind the group and how we operate. Obviously, if you have not read this or understand the group dynamics and you are faulted for something unbeknownst to you, that will be noone elses fault but your own. We DO take this group VERY seriously and act accordingly.
We (the group hosts) would like to introduce ourselves:
Hello, everyone. I'm Gina. A few years ago now, I took over ownership of AtVT from our beloved Erin. She, in turn, had taken it over from our equally missed Angie, who started the group in 2006.
I originally hail from Massachusetts and received my first degree (BS Biology) in Virginia. I completed my veterinary degree in 2008 in the UK, where I spent 2 yrs working in a small animal practice before returning to Massachusetts in 2010.
Currently, I work in a 2 vet small animal practice in Massachusetts and live close by with my cat, Molly, my sister and her 2 cats, Lilly and Noah.
My main interests lie in small animal and exotic general practice. Some day I wish to include pot bellied pigs into my practice as well.
That's me in a nut-shell but, as always, if you'd like to know more - just ask!
I'd like to welcome everyone to this group. The dynamic we have here is second to none and I do hope that you enjoy it as much as the rest of us do.
My name is Lorelei, I'm a former high school teacher, present private practice Logotherapist, and a married Mom of 2 grown children. My 1st word was kitty and I have had cats, mostly rescues, for my entire 48 years.
I presently share a home with a houseful of rescued cats from 3 months old to 8 years. We also have 2 rescued dogs, 1 large and 1 small, 2 ball pythons and a Morroccan uromastyx. My avi often includes my Australian bearded dragon, Matilda. I am a lover of all animals, and we have fostered many species, but I have the most knowledge of cats and reptiles. Our newest family member is a white rat named Stewie
