THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD...A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World." Though there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes:
Egypt's Great PyramidsWhile gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many."
Empire State Building
St. Peter's Basilica
China's Great Wall
The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help.
"The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the 'Seven Wonders of the World' are:
To SeeThe room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.
And to Love."
The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous!
A gentle reminder -- that the most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by man.
No matter how much or how little we "own" there is much to be thankful for. Come with me and let's examine our lives for all that we have and all that we might receive.
It is my hope that with this forum, we can all learn to appreciate each other and all that makes us who we are. If we have not reached or do not like who/what we are, first be grateful that we are. Then be grateful for what we need before we have received it.
I admit there is pain in the waiting process. Together we can work through that with an
ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE.
Peace to all who enter here.
