We are being poisoned by the plastics in our homes.
Our homes are meant to be a place of safety, for us and for our children.
Unfortunately, from the cradle to the greave, we are exposed to plastics which leach toxic chemicals into our foods, and through our skin.
Of particular concern are BPA and phthalates. These chemicals are found in many plastics, and are both endocrine disruptors. Their adverse health effects are significant. Particularly vulnerable are unborn children, babies and young infants.
You would think it simple to get these chemicals out of plastics in our homes. But it isn’t, because lobbyists for the chemical industry invest tens of millions of dollars to either prevent or slow down legislation designed to ban theses chemicals and protect our health.
As with so many other health issues, this is also a political and economic issue.
We need to make ourselves heard.
