Silence
The streets are empty and quiet
It’s all because we were silent
A massive war, the bombs dropped
And the war ended in a straight deadlock
A sad day, the demise of civilization
The entire world is in a conflagration
The world is silent except the roar of fire
Because the leader said “the situation is dire”
The end of life, the end of god
A drop of water has become quite odd
There’s no life for trillions and trillions of miles
Because we were quiet and allowed tests on isles
The leader’s handshake was firm but his mind weak
He said “bring on the strong, throw out the meek!”
We were quiet while thousands of innocents died
Then the dogs of war slipped and we all fried
We can prevent such a terrible thing
Just raise your voice and sing
Remember, we must never cease
Until we have achieved true peace
