A place to discuss shared housing and co-existing in small communities with a common goal and purpose. This type of communal living being on a smaller scale than "The Farm" (ie...the communities of the 70's).

There are many people in our society who find themselves alone in their mid 30's, 40's, and 50's. Wouldn't it be nice if we could establish communities where such people could co-exist to avoid loneliness and share the events of everyday life. Events such as gardening, cooking, basic chores, and perhaps even worship.
That was the reasoning behind creating this group so that such ideas could be discussed and shared.
Do you think such communities could work or would people prefer to live on their own in loneliness and isolation until they are forced in later years into retirement homes, assisted living homes and nursing homes?
