I am a member of a Maryland chapter of Hike for Discovery. The Hike for Discovery was created by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Hike For Discovery is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's new adventure fundraising program that prepares people, from beginners to seasoned hikers, to experience the natural wonder of the Grand Canyon in a very special way. While training for this event, I'm raising funds to help the Society cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. I am going to be hiking through part of Grand Canyon National Park.
My goal is to raise $4,800. The money raised goes to research and help for those who have blood cancers.
I have provided a secure website, with the help of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, at the bottom of the page. All donations are tax deductable.
Here are some important facts about Leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

-Leukemia is the leading cancer killer of children between the ages of 1 and 15. Lymphoma and leukemia are the leading fatal cancers in women and men under 35.
-Leukemia is the most common cancer in children and adolescents.
