Welcome to Otherkin of Care2 - a small nook of the internet where Otherkin can chat, roleplay, and befriend others like them. All species, beliefs, opinions are welcome here. Whether you're a vampire, half-elf, or a wolf in spirit, we'll be glad to have you with us. (So long as you respect others and play by the rules! ;3) Humans are also welcome to join. (That's right. We don't discriminate against anybody.)

Our group is supposed to be "set" in a rainforest, in case you haven't picked up on that already! XD Members can roleplay their fursonas in this "rainforest" on the forums whenever they wish. It is suggested that roleplays based on your own, made-up characters be held over Instant Messenger or other methods of communication for two reasons:

Chances are, it would be much easier for you!
We don't want to mislead visitors who are unfamiliar with Otherkin into thinking that we're are only pretending to be non-human.

Otherkin of Care2 is a very "free-form" Group, meaning that there are few rules that members must abide by. However, we do ask that you please:

1.) Respect the beliefs and identities of others - even if their beliefs don't necessarily coincide with your own!
2.) Obey the Care2 Groups Code of Conduct. This list of rules is short, sweet, and to-the-point. Take a moment to quickly read them! (It shouldn't take you more than two minutes.)
3.) "Human-bashing" is strictly forbidden. (Since Care2 is full of open-minded people, it is doubted that we'll have any problems with this...but just to be safe, we'll address it!) Unfortunately, some Otherkin believe that they are "superior" or "more "enlightened" than humans, simply because they're a (insert species name here). These 'Kin often look down upon and/or insult the human species. This practice is called "human-bashing", and there is no justification for it. It is an arrogant, discriminatory thing to do. Not only are many of us human in this life - but the majority of us probably have humans who we care deeply for. So please, don't do it! (Here, or anywhere else!)
