A place for all the greenies,
Billboard
Those of us in Southern California are lucky enough to live in one of the easiest places in the world to be green, but I'm sure we can make it even easier for one another. If you know of any local businesses, upcoming events or just have any questions, please, feel free to post away!

For want of a better definition, I'm going with SoCal being the counties of Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Riverside and Ventura.
The threads in the group are sorted into:
1. 'Important Stuff' (Welcome thread, chat thread, 'ways to get involved', etc.)
2. 'Events'
3. 'Companies, places, etc.' (Fair trade shops, animal shelters, etc.)
4. 'Food'
5. 'Specials'
2, 3 & 4 are divided off into threads for the different counties - so if you have something to post, it should be obvious where to put it.
(Since there are so many great places to eat in LA County, the food section for there is subdivided further.)
SoCal Green now has it's own map - an easier way to find places in your area. Check it regularly; New entries are being added all the time. It's now also one of the RSS feeds at the bottom of this page. (One problem with Google maps is that not all entries show at once, so make sure you check each page of map entries (bottom left of page) for your region!)
Just one more thing, folks - I'm a vegan, & whilst I accept that I'll probably be in the minority even here, please, no blatant animal cruelty posts! So, even if that place where you go fishing feeds their captive salmon organically, this isn't the group to post it in. Thanks!
