July 2003: anonymous White House sources leaked the identity of a covert CIA agent to several journalists in retaliation for her husband's public criticism of the administration's build up to war in Iraq. Knowingly exposing the identity of an undercover agent is a felony.
June 2004: President Bush, when asked if he would fire any administration official found guilty of leaking the agent's identity, responds "yes."
July 2005: Karl Rove, Bush's righthand man and deputy Chief of Staff at the White House, has been identified as the source in at least one journalist's notes. But Bush so far refuses to deal with Rove and these allegations, maintaining that he has "confidence" in Rove.
Karl Rove has compromised American national security to cover up the administration's lies about the Iraq war build-up. President Bush: stop flip-flopping and fire Karl Rove.
