EDEN

In the beginning God created Eden and in it were free horses whose only boundaries were the oceans. They were social animals who grazed and prepared the land for cultivation by those who were coming that God created last. They came with their weapons and almost ate the great free horse herds to extinction. Some horses fled across the very same land bridge that allowed the predators to come into Eden. Again the horses encountered man but this time formed a parternership and were spared in exchange for their service.  They came back to Eden in the bellies of ships and conquered those that were foolish enough to destroy them. For 500 years they served the people of Eden until Eden was so developed that there was no room for the great horse herds. Again they were killed for food, driven from the land until now only a handful remains. Soon Eden will run out of energy to power its vehicles, plow its fields, move its people and goods. When we look into the eye of the witness of our demise can we see he knows?
