Please take a moment to pray for my brother's family (Daniel Markham) and so many families that are in the same situation. His wife has many years suffered from MS and has just recently had to stop working. They are now a family with one paycheck that isn't enough to make ends meet. Disability help from the government seems helpless. This government process is extremely detailed and grueling and yet most likely will be denied time after time. This is a hard working family that has always been there to help others. They do not cheat the system yet is constantly turned down by it. (SSA, mortgage co, car loan holder, etc.) My brother works hard and now must work harder. He not only is the paycheck but also... father, husband, meal preparer, laundry person, dishwasher, car fixer, wood cutter, car pooler, grocery shopper, etc. This is a real struggle for many MS patients, as if the disease isn't enough to bear. So, while waiting for much needed help, the family must continuously struggle to find extra work, sweet talk creditors, cut back on food, electricity & medical necessities, bow out of family functions, deal with surmounting stress, insurance issues, deal with questions and needs from children, manage thru the symptoms of this disease and the treatments, and so much more. A person just can't take but so much. Financial stress is so disheartening and cuts down to the bone. Daniel and his family need your prayers. I have been researching the internet and cannot find help. There are so many charities to give to but I can't find how to receive monies from. My search led me here. Please pray for my brother, his wife, 2 children and the many other people that are in this same gloomy situation. I truly thank you and God Bless.
I received this today from my cousin who is a nun. There are times when I receive something and know that there was a reason why now, why today. I want to share it with all of you. Nothing new, very old in fact. Bears repeating and remembering.
I rejoiced when I heard them announce, “The time of warfare is past. No more will brother hate brother or violence have its way. No more will they drown out God’s silence and shut their hearts to his song.”
Pray for peace in the cities and harmony among the races. May peace come to live on our streets and justice within our walls. With all my heart I will pray that peace comes to live among us. For the sake of all earth’s people, I will do my utmost for peace.
