Domestic Violence is traditionally recognized as a gendered phenomenon occuring in heterosexual relationships. This is a biased view of a age old problem that occurs across all relationships. Research as shown that DV (referred to as Intimate Partner Abuse from here on in) is prevalent in approx 1/4 of all relationships regardless of sexual or gender identity. unfortunately, this knowledge is not being shared and unacknowledged victims of Intimate Partner Abuse (IPA) remain hidden from view without any means of support. This group is for anyone who wants support, whether just a friendly voice or support in stopping the abuse.
