Hey there folks, glad to have you here! :) If you have a wish, make a thread an mark it like this: "Wish: (whatever your wish is)." no guarantees your wish will come true but hey, sometimes it helps just putting it "out there" for people to see. plus, you never know when an angel is gonna drop by and answer your prayers.

One more thing: folks who are comin here to make their wishes an maybe even make some wishes come true can find their own way to other groups. if you're lookin to promote your group, please don't. there's other groups for that an this isn't one of them. hope you understand. now let's see if we can make some wishes come true! :)

{ else }   Blog: Help Jenny Walk Independently Again

My name is Virginia. Although, my friends call me "Jenny." I am 31 years old. I live in Ansted, WV and I am disabled. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. Due to my disability, I use a wheelchair. I do not let my disability define me however, or stop me from achieving my goals. I have a Regents Bachelors of Arts from West Virginia State University. Currently, I'm a graduate student at Concordia University Online Portland studying for an M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction. Also, I am a self-published author of poetry. Not to mention the fact, that I am a patient advocate for Easter Seals Foundation who is currently advocating for the creation of a more diverse Barbie doll, especially one that more accurately depicts those individuals who are part of the disabled community. It is my ultimate goal to become a college professor. I hope someday I am able to make an impact on someone's life, whether it be hands on with teaching or through inspiration due in part to my writing.

On a personal level, I am also a stepmother to a six year old named Brandon who is just now getting used to the trials and tribulations that come with being a Kindergartener. His father and I have been in a relationship for almost three years now. We are quite busy at the moment, as we are getting ready to start the process of buying our first home together. Although, we are financially struggling at the moment.

In the meantime, we live with my boyfriend's parents and two siblings. The house is quite cramped I must say, as we also have 20 cats and two dogs. One is named Bandit and the other is named Mutley.

In my spare time I am a complete geek in all sense of the word. I enjoy anime, comics, and concerts. I enjoy these things so much it is very common for me to travel to different cities just to attend a show or convention. To add to my geek status I have a tattoo on my upper left arm of Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. To most it is a pretty boring concept, but I think it pretty much sums me up as a person. In other words, I guess you can say with me around there is never a dull moment.

Well, like yourself I have a dreams and goals that I want to achieve. One such dream involves the ability to do something most people take for granted. I would love to be able to walk outside and play with my stepson. I would like to take a stroll and hold hands with my fiancé. I want to have the chance to WALK! How can you help with this you ask? Well, the answer is simple.

There is this new assistive device for Cerebral Palsy patients who experience drop foot like myself called "WALKAIDE." This is great news. I immediately called my doctor and the company where I get my orthotic equipment hoping to get one. However, as usual my insurance will not pay for it. It costs $4000 dollars. Having this would improve my walking ability immensely. I have been confined to a wheelchair for three years now. Walking again would be a dream come true. Help me make this dream a reality.

{ else }   Blog: wish for xmas

would never ask for help but in the beginning of October I slipped and fell and broke my wrist in two places now my work says I am a liability right now and cannot work until I am healed, but they can't guarantee they can hold my job for me. then a week later i get in a car accident, on that same day my other car went out. We then buy a truck with the last of our money and it broke down a week later. . We live so far out of town I haven't been able to apply anywhere. We live in meadowbrook and have no vehicle and my inlaws are so broke they cant help us at the moment they are scrounging even for gas right now. I am trying to apply for foodstamps but I cant get get the paperwork I need to complete that with no vehicle. The insurance is covering our accident but they are giving the money to bennet brothers where we purchased our vehicle and we still have to pay them 3200.00 after the insurance money. I finally got to apply for foodstamps yesterday and I waiting for unemployment and if i get approved it will barely cover bills.

thanks for reading this,
