Hello, everyone! I hope you are taking advantage of the RSS feeds on our home page. Particularly interesting to me today (27.May) is a video of a tractor race in Russia. You can find it in the English Russia feed. :-) Check them all out, though.

I have been cataloging our threads today. This will be easier for you to select a thread according to its interest. By clicking on a colored balloon under the Discussions tab, you will be presented with those topics only cooresponding to that tab; i.e, click on a blue balloon, and you will get all the topics pertaining to art and culture. Click on a green balloon, you will have a list of fun and trivia threads.
I have also been going through the archives and reactivating many threads that are still very relevant and with many interesting items of content, such as photos and graphics, art and music, and so forth. The threads have to be active to post in them, and to catalog them as well. There is a lot there so it will take a while.
Hopefully, this will kindle everyone's interest in all things Russian, as well as utilizing the RSS feeds that I mentioned in the previous announcement.

In addition to the colored catalogs for the threads, it is also possible to star on any thread that is a favorite for you. This way, when you star a threads you like in the various catalogs and want to only read and post into those threads, click on the star in list of labels below the Discussion tab, and you will be presented a list of all the threads you have starred. That is a really nifty way to get to the items that really interest you in a hurry!
Give it a try. Look around, explore and experiment and, most of all, have fun :-)

I should like to draw your attention to the RSS feed module on our home page. There are five feeds with relevant news, photos, and learning enhancements that are available to us from the web. There are plenty more out there, but we can only have five at a time. If any of you come across a Russian related RSS feed that you would like to see here, let your hosts know. We can compile a listing of excellent feeds and rotate them out on a monthly or semi-monthly basis.
I think these feeds will add to our appreciation and understanding of Russia and Russian culture and language. Peruse them, and enjoy
